Designer Mariet Sauna with Himalayan Salt

The Mariet sauna with Himalayan salt is a designer wooden sauna distinguished by expressive architecture and multiple lighting scenarios. Natural wood creates a warm foundation for the interior, while a decorative Himalayan salt wall with dedicated backlighting becomes one of the key visual features of the space.

Multi-level corner benches are arranged in a stepped configuration, making efficient use of the available space and providing different seating levels. The designer sauna ceiling features a distinctive circular composition that visually organizes the interior around a central axis and is accentuated by integrated lighting.

Special attention is given to the stove area: stone cladding behind the stove creates a strong contrast with the natural wood while providing a non-combustible surface in the high-temperature zone. Warm yellow and cool blue lighting transform the visual atmosphere, highlighting the benches, backrests, and Himalayan salt decor.

This wooden sauna with lighting can be individually adapted to the room dimensions, selected equipment, and required functional features.

Layout and Design of the Mariet Sauna with Himalayan Salt

Multi-Level Layout of the Mariet Sauna

Corner Benches — Stepped Organization of the Space

Wooden benches extend along the walls to form a multi-level corner configuration. The stepped layout provides different seating options while making efficient use of the available sauna space.

In a wooden sauna with lighting, this geometry is further emphasized by integrated light lines, transforming the bench structure into an important part of the overall interior design.

Stove Area and Stone Cladding — Contrast Between Wood and Stone

The stone surface behind the stove visually separates the heating area from the wooden interior and provides a non-combustible surface. The contrast between natural wood and stone adds architectural definition without overloading the space with decorative elements.

In the Mariet project, the stove area is seamlessly integrated into the overall sauna architecture and complements its contemporary design.

Himalayan Salt Wall and Sauna Lighting Scenarios

Circular Ceiling Composition — The Main Architectural Feature

The designer ceiling in the Mariet sauna is centered around a distinctive circular composition. It becomes the main architectural feature of the upper part of the room and provides a visual alternative to the traditional linear ceiling design commonly found in wooden saunas.

Integrated lighting emphasizes the ceiling geometry, transforming it from a purely functional surface into an essential part of the custom sauna design.

Warm and Blue Lighting — Benches, Backrests and Himalayan Salt Wall

The Mariet lighting concept combines warm yellow and cool blue illumination. Integrated lighting highlights the benches and backrests, emphasizing the multi-level geometry of the interior.

The decorative Himalayan salt wall is created using a specialized installation method and enhanced with dedicated backlighting that reveals the natural texture and tonal variations of the salt. This gives the sauna with Himalayan salt a distinctive visual identity, while different lighting scenarios allow the atmosphere of the space to change.

In this concept, a Finnish sauna with a salt wall combines a high-temperature sauna experience with custom architectural and lighting design.
