A Hammam Integrated into SPA Treatments and the Guest Journey

In a SPA centre, a hammam should function as part of the service rather than as a separate warm room. It can be incorporated into preparation for massage and body treatments, combined with a sauna and cooling, or used for standalone rituals. A clearly defined role for the hammam helps expand the programme and increase the value of each visit.

We begin with the business model: unrestricted access, group sessions, individual treatments, or treatments led by a specialist. Each format requires its own capacity, level of privacy, and spatial organisation. The guest journey is also important — visitors should be able to move conveniently to the shower, cooling area or relaxation space without unnecessary crossover.

Commercial usage changes throughout the day. We consider the treatment schedule, session duration, and peak hours so that the hammam quickly returns to the required conditions without staff having to adjust the settings constantly.

We build turnkey hammams for SPA centres and take responsibility for the full range of specialist works. Our team coordinates the internal geometry, moisture protection, heating, steam supply, finishes and equipment in advance. This reduces the risk of incompatible solutions and gives the client one accountable team.

During construction, we consider both guests and employees. Surfaces must be comfortable, the atmosphere must reflect the concept of the centre, and start-up, cleaning and maintenance must remain straightforward for staff. Once the work is complete, we test the operating modes and hand over a finished room.

If the hammam is planned as part of a paid programme, we account for the duration of the ritual and the specialist’s work in advance. If access is unrestricted, capacity, a clear guest route, and resilience to a constant turnover of visitors become the priorities.

Over more than 25 years, we have delivered private and commercial SPA facilities of various sizes. This experience helps us propose solutions for an actual service programme rather than a universal template. Send us the plans, dimensions or photographs, and we will assess the room and prepare an accurate preliminary proposal.

A Completed Hammam as Part of the SPA Centre’s Atmosphere

The video shows a completed hammam where the overall result, rather than individual construction stages, can be appreciated: the coherence of the space, finishes, lighting and calm atmosphere. This is how guests experience the room when they arrive for a treatment or follow a thermal circuit.

Before handover, we test the equipment, heating, steam supply, lighting and controls. The SPA centre receives a completed hammam configured for the agreed operating mode and service format. Send us the room plans or photographs, and our specialists will review the available information and propose a solution that can be integrated into your centre’s programmes.

What Hammam Construction for a SPA Centre Includes and How the Price Is Determined

How We Build a Hammam for a SPA Centre’s Programmes and Schedule

We begin by analysing the room and the services that will include the hammam. We check the dimensions, substrates, utilities, and space for equipment, then clarify capacity, operating hours, and connections with other areas. This ensures that the technical solution immediately supports the guest journey and the work of the specialists.

We then define the geometry of the ceiling and benches, falls, drainage, structural protection, heating and steam supply. Equipment is selected according to the volume and commercial operating mode. All approved elements are treated as one integrated system before tiling begins.

Our team carries out the specialist works, installs the equipment, controls and lighting, completes the tiling, and performs commissioning. If the centre is already operating, we plan deliveries, noisy stages and connections in advance to minimise disruption to treatments and adjoining areas.

After commissioning, we check the completed operating mode and ease of control. For treatment-based use, we also assess whether there is enough space for both the guest and the specialist. Staff receive recommendations on start-up, daily monitoring and care.

If the budget is limited, we jointly determine which items form the essential technical foundation and which can be adjusted without creating operational risks. This keeps costs manageable while preserving the hammam’s key characteristics.

  • analysis of the room and the commercial operating model of the hammam
  • formation of the ceiling, benches, falls and drainage
  • thermal insulation and waterproofing, heating and steam supply
  • steam generator, controls, lighting and tiling
  • commissioning and preparation of staff for operation

What Determines the Budget and Timeline of a Hammam for SPA Programmes

The cost is affected by the dimensions and geometry, number of seats, treatment format, readiness of the utilities, selected equipment, tiling and lighting. Commercial usage also matters: a hammam for several individual sessions and a room with unrestricted access require different calculations.

We prepare a transparent estimate for the specific configuration. It clearly shows which works and materials form the essential technical foundation and which solutions can be changed according to the budget and interior standard. This makes it possible to manage costs without compromising reliability.

The timeline depends on the readiness of the room, complexity of individual elements, deliveries, and coordination with associated contractors. At an operating facility, we also account for the centre’s schedule. We plan the technical area with maintenance access so that routine inspections do not require the entire SPA complex to be closed.

We define the project stages, boundaries of responsibility, and connection requirements in advance. After completing the work, we provide a warranty in accordance with the contract and remain available to assist with operation.

For a preliminary estimate, all we need is a plan, dimensions or photographs and a brief description of the future programmes. We will clarify expected attendance, the schedule and any missing technical information before preparing a hammam construction proposal for your SPA centre.
