A Hotel Hammam That Increases the Value of Stays and SPA Packages

A hammam helps a hotel make its wellness area an integral part of the guest experience. It complements relaxation after a journey, a business day or an active itinerary, enhances SPA packages, and increases the value of a stay. For a resort property, it also provides an additional reason for guests to choose the hotel during the high season.

Before construction begins, we establish exactly how the service will operate: whether it will be included in the room rate, available by appointment, complement the swimming pool and sauna, or be used for individual rituals. These decisions determine capacity, the level of privacy, the arrangement of the benches, and the connection with the showers and relaxation area.

Hotel usage fluctuates throughout the week and across the seasons. We therefore calculate the hammam requirements based not only on its area but also on the operating schedule, expected guest flow, and frequency of use. The room must maintain comfortable conditions without constant supervision by staff.

We build turnkey hammams for new and operating hotels. Our team is responsible for all specialist work inside the room — from preparing the technical base to tiling, equipment installation, configuration and commissioning. The client does not have to coordinate several contractors or determine who is responsible for the final result.

More than 25 years of experience help us account for what matters specifically to a hotel: convenient cleaning, access to equipment, straightforward controls, and minimal disruption to guests during maintenance. We adapt the finishes and lighting to the style of the property while ensuring practicality for daily operation.

A hammam can support the positioning of a city hotel, resort complex or country property in different ways. We therefore do not transfer the same ready-made solution from one project to another. Instead, we consider the hotel category, the composition of the wellness area, guest expectations, and the property’s price segment from the outset.

As a result, the hotel receives a completed hammam that can be seamlessly integrated into its wellness infrastructure and used as part of its guest services. Send us the room plan, dimensions or photographs. Our specialists will assess the property, clarify any missing information, and prepare a preliminary proposal.

A Completed Hotel Hammam: What Guests See

The video shows one of our completed hammams after all work was finished. It presents the overall impression of the space, the quality of the finishes, the lighting and the atmosphere — precisely the details guests use to assess the standard of the wellness area and the hotel itself.

Before handover, we test the equipment, surface heating, steam supply, lighting and controls. The hotel receives a fully completed room designed for the agreed format of use. If you are planning a new hammam or upgrading an existing SPA area, send us the plans or photographs, and our team will prepare a preliminary solution for your property.

What Hotel Hammam Construction Includes and How the Price Is Determined

How We Build a Hammam in a New or Operating Hotel

We begin by assessing the room, utilities, and intended operating model. We check the dimensions, substrate, water supply, drainage, available electrical capacity, ventilation, and space for equipment. If the hotel is already receiving guests, we separately coordinate access, material deliveries, and working hours.

We then calculate the internal geometry and technical base: the shape of the ceiling and benches, falls, drainage, insulation, heating, and steam supply. All solutions are coordinated before tiling so that the completed hammam operates reliably under hotel usage levels.

Our team carries out the agreed specialist works, installs the equipment and control system, completes the tiling, and commissions the facility. We define the scope and boundaries of responsibility in advance. After testing, we provide staff with clear operating and maintenance recommendations.

At an operating property, we plan the sequence of work to minimise disruption to adjoining rooms and guest areas. This allows construction to fit into the hotel’s operating schedule and helps avoid unnecessary closures.

Before work begins, we agree on the sequence of stages and the points of coordination with the main contractor or the hotel’s engineering team. This allows the specialist works to be included in the overall opening or refurbishment schedule in advance.

  • assessment of the room, usage levels and hotel operating model
  • formation of the internal volume, ceiling, benches and correct falls
  • thermal insulation and waterproofing, heating, steam line and drainage
  • steam generator, controls, lighting and tiling
  • testing of operating modes and preparation of the hammam for opening

What Determines the Price and Timeline of a Hotel Hammam

The cost depends on the area and geometry, number of seats, complexity of the ceiling and benches, readiness of the utilities, equipment, tiling and lighting. At a commercial property, operating hours and expected usage are also important: hammams of the same size may require different specifications.

We prepare a transparent proposal with a clearly defined scope of work and equipment. This estimate makes it possible to compare complete solutions rather than an indicative price per square metre that often excludes essential stages and commissioning.

The timeline depends on the condition of the room, complexity of the finishes, material lead times, and coordination with associated contractors. For an operating hotel, we account for restrictions on noise and access. Before work begins, we specify the requirements for the technical area and connections so that completed finishes do not have to be altered.

When selecting the specification, we consider not only the initial budget but also ongoing maintenance. Convenient access to equipment and straightforward controls help staff handle routine tasks more quickly and reduce the risk of extended downtime.

For an initial estimate, simply send us the room plan, dimensions or photographs. We will clarify the expected capacity and operating model, verify the available information, and propose a hammam construction solution for your hotel. After commissioning, we remain available to assist with operation and warranty service.
